The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate/Junior Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist to join our team. Dreamcast offers a great career development opportunity as you grow your technical knowledge on the job, side by side with our own Senior Geotechnical Engineer as your mentor.
Full training would be provided for all field-based tasks. Past experiences in conducting such would be a benefit but not essential. If you have a student mentality and a passion for what you do, then we would love to hear from you.
What will you be doing?

Completing geotechnical field investigations in a range of environments throughout the wider Auckland region, for both residential and commercial clients.

Preparing site descriptions and sketches, charting field data, drafting of site plans, cross sections and auger hole logs and assisting with engineering analysis.

Assisting with laboratory testing using samples taken from the field.

Ensuring technical checks, QA and equipment maintenance are completed.

To be successful in this role you will need:

BE (Civil) Degree or equivalent.

A full driver’s license.

To be a team player who is self-motivated and uses initiative to get things done.

Working knowledge of the NZGS Guidelines “Field Description of Soil and Rock”, site investigation techniques and associated documentation is preferred but not essential.
You must hold an open work visa, or NZ PR or NZ Citizen to apply this role.
